22nd Annual Golf Tournament a Success

June 2010

Flanagan Foodservice Inc. held their annual charity golf tournament on Friday, June 5th, 2010 at Foxwood Golf and Country Club in Baden. Everyone was in high spirits as a cheque for $45,000 was presented to Kevin Collins, Executive Director of We Care.

The sun shone down on 240 golfers who took part in the event. The morning started with a hearty breakfast followed by 18 holes of golf. Everyone enjoyed the day while supporting a great cause. Following the tournament the players relaxed over an incredible dinner, prizes and the cheque presentation.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will help send disabled children to camp through Friends of We Care. For more than 26 years, Friends of We Care has dedicated all its efforts towards assisting in sending physically disabled children to summer camps through the Easter Seals camping program.

Kevin Collins, along with Friends of We Care Ambassadors, Sydney Weaver and Tyler Preece were on hand to receive the cheque from Jim Grieb, Tournament Organizer and Vice President of Purchasing at Flanagan Foodservice Inc.

"We Care is about making dreams come true, about making the impossible become possible. It is this giving back through the support we get that makes the smiles on the faces of children all worthwhile. The pride and passion associated with this tugs at your heart and keeps driving us forward to help more children with special needs," said Jim Grieb.
