The Forbes and Statista selection process is based on an independent survey conducted with more than 37,000 Canada-based employees from all industry sectors, working at organizations with at least 500 employees in Canada. Over 900,000 employer evaluations were considered, with the final ranking derived from two types of assessments: personal evaluations (provided directly by employees) and public evaluations (collected from friends, family members, or industry peers). Personal evaluations were given a substantially higher weight, ensuring that the ranking reflects authentic employee sentiment.
