Tuna Tartare with Wonton Chips

Refreshing ahi tuna layered over creamy avocado with sesame and soy, and served with crispy wonton chips for a vibrant shareable appetizer packed with bold flavour and texture.

Ingredients:
Tuna Tartare
- Ahi tuna, diced small (Product # 135047)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (Product # 358056)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil (Product # 448534)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp siracha (Product # 446135)
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp black and white sesame seeds
Avocado Base
- 4 ripe avocados
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- salt and pepper to taste
Wonton Chips & Garnish
- Wonton chips
- Scallions (optional)
- Black and white sesame seeds (optional)
- Spicy mayo drizzle (optional)
Preparation Directions:
- Combine diced tuna with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, siracha, ginger, garlic, green onion and sesame seeds. Toss gently and keep refrigerated until service
- Cut avocado into small cubes and mix lightly with lime juice, salt and pepper. Keep refrigerated until service
- Fry wonton chips at 350°F until golden and crispy, about 45-60 seconds
Assembly Directions:
- Using a ring mold, layer avocado on the bottom of a chilled plate or shallow bowl
- Top with seasoned tuna tartare
- Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions
- Serve with wonton chips on the side for dipping
